Well as you may or may not have noticed over the past few days there was a lack of news being posted on our site. This is due to my hard drive taking a permanent vacation. However everything was backed up and now with new gear and even more back up security, any future issues that could possibly arise will only result in a slight hiccup if any.
What happened is my main hard drive was in the midst of dieing and I couldn’t access my computer at all regardless if I tried through safe mode, last known good config, etc etc. In the end it cost me $400 dollars to get everything back up and going but it’s worth it since I lost absolutely nothing on my hard drive.
To prevent this from happening ever again I’ve set up some fail safes. First my new drive is a 1TB drive so there is plenty of room and new life in this drive. I have a second drive installed that is a 350 Gb drive for manual back ups as well as a new 500Gb external drive that backs up automatically depending on the settings I choose. I can have it back up when I modify a file or once a night, options like that.
In the end everything is good and we are back in full swing so expect a whole lot of news coming your way starting tomorrow (possibly today, I still have some last minute setup to do) since I have to play catch up. However this down time did give me a lot of free time to get some good gaming in so there is definitely a lot to report on!
