Let’s for a second fast forward into the future. You own a sweet Android tablet (or phone) and have been enjoying gaming on it for awhile. While playing a lot of puzzle, shooters, platformers or whatever your cup of tea is, you want a change and feel like playing a racing game but nothing too serious. Enter Pac-Man Kart Rally from Namco…

In the style that is Mario Kart, Pac-Man Kart Rally lets you play as your favorite Namco character racing through various tracks, collecting special items to help you along the way through 5 game modes and 4 themed worlds. You’ll have ten characters to choose from including Taizo Hori from DIG DUG, the Prince from Katamari Damacy, Susumu Hori from Mr. Driller, the Fighter from Galaga and of course Pac-Man himself.

Namco Networks Crosses the Finish Line with PAC-MAN Kart Rally for Mobile

Company Continues to Make Iconic Brand Accessible on Multiple Platforms

SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Namco Networks, a leading publisher and developer of interactive content, today announced the launch of PAC-MAN Kart Rally on mobile devices, including Java, BREW, RIM and Windows Mobile. An Android version of the title will be coming out in early 2011.

Offered in 2D and 3D, PAC-MAN Kart Rally combines fast-paced racing action with 10 beloved iconic Namco characters, including PAC-MAN®, Taizo Hori from DIG DUG®, the Prince from Katamari Damacy®, Susumu Hori from Mr. Driller® and the Fighter from Galaga®, to name a few.

With 12 tracks and five game modes, the goal of the game is to cross the finish line in first place. This can be achieved by utilizing multiple power-ups and items found throughout each course. The various modes are Championship, Time Trail, Challenge, Survival and Mirror Mode. The player will have to be careful in picking their character as each one has different characteristics, ultimately influencing the way the kart moves.
