Awhile back we mentioned an RPG that was being developer by Mika Mobile called Battleheart. Featuring art that is a bit out of the norm when it comes to RPG titles (usually it is either pixel art or 3D) and a rather deep storyline, it has been a hit since it’s recent release on iOS. Now it’s available for Android.
Day: 13 May 2011
According to a post on the official Order & Chaos forums, Gameloft is already hard at work coming out with the first patch with more content and bug fixes. So why are we reporting on this since the Android version isn’t available yet? To keep you up to speed for when it does come out which should be fairly soon!
OpenFeint has been busy it seems with providing developers more ways to be successful on the Android platform. Today they are launching an expansion to their OFX platform and offering up a new set of tools for developers to use to create free-to-play games for Android. Maybe you’ll make the next smash hit Freemium game?
During Google I/O 2011 which just finished, word came out that there would be a Nexus 3 coming out by the end of this year. Also, Android’s newest OS version, Ice Cream Sandwich, will also be coming out at around that time. Now we have nVidia’s CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang, hinting that the Nexus 3 could also be quad-core.
Trial Xtreme Review – A different kind of Motocross game for Android. Big air doesn’t matter here.
Online flash Motocross games have always been about crazy air and how many impossible back flips you could do, oh, and getting to the end. This one is a bit different. Trial Xtreme is different in the sense that the goal is to make it to the end, and if you happen to get enough air to do a flip, you can do one.
Fans of Larva Labs little 8-bit retro RPG game Gurk have some good news. After awhile of wanting and waiting in hope that a sequel of some ind would come out, Larva Labs quietly released Gurk II onto the Android Market. Chalk full of 8-bit retro RPG goodness, this is what all you Gurk fans have been waiting for.
Well it is a bit past the initial release date but what is a few more days of waiting right? Well you won’t have to wait any longer to get your Micro Machines style racing fix now that Bang Bang Racing THD is finally available for purchase! Being a THD title, this means you will need that shiny Tegra 2 Android device to play this.
Well here is a bit of a different way to do an update. Unlike Angry Birds Seasons where the Amazon App Store paid version didn’t see an update for Easter until almost a week after it rolled out onto the Android Market version, Angry Birds Rio on the Amazon App Store got the Volley Ball update first.
It seems Gameloft is truly impressed with how Google is improving the Android Market, so much so that when we reported on Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus hitting the market, the rumor was that the next game would be Asphalt 6. Well that has come true as well as it is now available on the market.
