Tegra Twosday: Hardwood Backgammon coming in June, Galaxy of Fire 2 delayed until June

Welcome to a new series of posts we will be doing every week called Tegra Twosdays. While we will still post on any other day that has news regarding Tegra 2 stuff, Tegra Twosdays will be dedicated to all things Tegra and Android. As more devices and games come out, there will be multiple posts on Tuesday.

So to kick things off with our first Tegra Twosday post ever, we thought we would inform everyone who have been waiting for Galaxy of Fire 2 to be unleashed onto Android. It was originally set for an April release but was then pushed to May. Now it has been pushed to June. Reason? Not sure but generally when this happens it is more about making sure the game is polished with little-to-no bugs in the actual game. While waiting does suck, it is better than getting a game that still needs polishing or has a plethora of bugs in it. When we get more specific information, we will update everyone.

Another game is slated to hit the Android Market and Tegra Zone this June as well called Hardwood Backgammon. Coming from Silver Creek Entertainment, developers of Hardwood Solitaire and Hardwood Spades, Hardwood Backgammon is just as the title suggests, a Backgammon game. However, it has been completely redone to feature high-resolution graphics, dynamic lighting and real-time shadows. Hardwood Backgammon will also come with other unique features like achievements to unlock, an online leaderboard and in-game purchases of items such as additional boards and environments.

Features:

  • Great 3D graphics with dynamic lighting and more
  • Unique 3D effects with playing pieces such as the checker piece flipping or dice rolling
  • Tablet-ready as well
  • Achievements to earn
  • Online leaderboard
  • In-game purchases for more customization

If you like Backgammon and on a Tegra 2 Android device than this is one game you will want to try out. Hardwood Backgammon is slated for release sometime in June. If you haven’t done so yet, don’t forget to check out the hands-on videos of Madfinger Games’ upcoming multi-core focused title called Shadowgun. Shadowgun will be for both Tegra 2 and Tegra 3 (quad-core) Android devices and will be available when the first quad-core device is made available for public purchase. That will be happening much sooner than most people think.
