A great modern remake of the old school game Qix has just been released by Eclipse Games for the PC and Mac. The developer, who used to work from some big named studios before going indie when they closed, has mentioned plans to bring it to mobile which includes Android.

On a lighter note this Monday afternoon, apparently word is out that Nokia has picked it’s grand prize winner in the game section to their “Calling All Innovators” development competition for the Nokia platform. The grand prize winner receives $250,000 so you would think the winner would have an incredibly unique innovative game right?
Build-a-lot is a rather popular real estate game that has about five titles in the series so far for the PC. Essentially it is a simulation game, although wrapped in more friendlier graphics, where you will build houses and as the value of those houses rise up, you sell them for a nice profit making you a real estate mogul.
We have got a new member of the Hidden Gem family going by the name of Block Rogue which was developed by Buzz Monkey Software. Block Rogue is a Sokoban style game where you’ll be solving the puzzles in each stage in order to get to the exit and progress onto the next one.
Gameloft is up to their sales again and this time it’s for Halloween. This time, however, it isn’t just for UK residents but for everyone as the sale is actually on the Android Market. Currently two titles, Order & Chaos Online and BackStab are on sale for supported Android devices.
Back in August we mentioned that a new mobile 3D MMORPG is being developed by TenStrangeGuys called Destiny of Ares. In that article who showed off some of the concept art, which looked awesome, went over the back story and some of the planned features. Now we get a first glimpse into what the Destiny of Ares world will look like.
PSX4Droid was quite the popular Playstation emulator for Android when it first landed on the Android Market by ZodTTD and still does have a strong following even though it was removed from the Android Market by Google. There seems to be a new listing though for PSX4Droid. Is it the real one?
Publisher, Chillingo, getting back into Android, releases Spider Jack and other titles coming soon
Chillingo has been absent from the Android Market for awhile now having only tested it’s waters for a brief stint back in the earlier days of Android. Well now it seems they are getting back into the Android Market and have released their first game in awhile called Spider Jack.
If you are a casual or professional gamer and like RPG type games, I suggest you give Buddy Rush a try. Buddy Rush is a cross-platform social RPG game that is playable on your Android device with people from iOS and on Facebook as well.
