A lot of people have been wondering our stance on the whole SOPA and PIPA issue going on these days and being a part of the game industry as well as in a community such as Android where openness is valued part of everything. With that said we clearly opposed SOPA and PIPA and always have been.

World of Midgard is a mobile cross-platform 3D MMORPG currently in development and sitting in the 2nd (closed) beta phase is gearing up to move forward to it’s third beta phase, aptly named “Third BetaWoM” or TBW for short. For those of you who signed up to get into any of the phases of beta testing awhile ago and haven’t gotten in, you may end up in this new wave of testing.
While currently exclusive to LG’s HD phones, specifically the LG Spectrum when it gets released January 19th, Capcom’s Street Fighter IV will be coming to the Android Market once the LG exclusivity on the Spectrum expires. So when can you expect to get this rather bad ass game?
For those of you out there that enjoy Hidden Objects type of games that also blend in other gaming genres, there is a new title out by Nevosoft Inc called Dream Sleuth. This particular title is a Hidden Objects game that also features other types of puzzles you will need to solve as well as a full storyline and adventure type of gaming.
[CES2012] SteelSeries to release a mobile gaming-based controller called the Ion, fits in your pocket
SteelSeries is a company that, if you haven’t heard of them before, makes a lot of gaming peripherals, a lot of which are for competitive gaming whether for professionals or just the hardcore gamer. Apparently, through licensing the technology used in the Zeemote, they have developed a wireless controller that you can use on your Android device called the Ion.
Rovio has released a nice little teaser trailer regarding their upcoming Angry Birds Seasons update which will celebrate the Year of the Dragon for those of you who follow the Chinese Zodiac calendar and Chinese New Years. We also now know exactly when this update will be heading our way as well.
This post is one of two articles which covers one of my favorite types of games to play on my Android phone, puzzle games. The reason I like puzzle games so much is that they can test your mental (and sometimes your physical) prowess, plus they usually are easy to pick and put down, so you can play them almost anywhere and anytime.
Sega will be continuing their push into the Android Market soon with a new game, exclusive to the Xperia Play for now, called Virtua Tennis Challenge. We got a chance to meet up with Mike from Sega who is the Brand Manager for Virtua Tennis on mobile platforms and had some fun playing this upcoming game.
