There is a new Reflections style puzzle game on Android called Monkey King Quest by Socosoft. This game is in a top-down isometric type of view which gives it a sort of 3D look to it. However, this isn’t just a Reflections puzzle game as the developers have added a lot to change things up.

A couple years ago, those of us in the United States didn’t know much about Huawei. As 2012 moves on, we’re starting to see this company in the news a lot more. Huawei is creating the next line of myTouch phones on T-Mobile, and also claims to have one of the world’s thinnest smartphones in the Huawei Ascend P1. Huawei is looking to spread its influence even further by investing around $4.5 billion to research and develop tablets and smartphones that don’t necessarily need to be touched.
Like the Fruit Ninja style of gameplay but miss the blood and guts of slashing zombies? Yeah I think that way sometimes as well. Luckily our friends at 21st Street Games, developers of the ridiculously awesome Techno Kitty Adventure, has you covered with their new game The Tossing Dead.
Gamevil just pushed out an update for their 3D DotA style game on iOS called Plant Wars. Being that a lot of people, including myself, love DotA style games, we figured we would ask our friends at Gamevil if Plants Wars would be coming to Android anytime soon.
An interesting report has come out over at The Verge regarding the Xperia Play phone and the direction Sony Ericsson almost took with the device. In a patent that had been filed back when the device was being developed, the Xperia Play almost came with two sliders: one being the gamepad and the other being a keyboard.
Back in March of this year we talked about a sequel to Infinite Dreams’ Shoot the Birds game which is to be called Shoot the Zombirds. While we didn’t have a whole lot of detail about the game back in March, we now know a little more about the game as well as get to see a new teaser trailer for it.
Garfield, the lasagna loving Odie kicking cat has arrived on Android in his first official game called Garfield Defense: Attack of the Food Invaders. As you may have guessed from the name, this is a defense style game blending elements of tower defense and siege warfare gaming into one title.
One game we got to check out during GDC 2012 was Game Insight’s Rule The Kingdom game which is a sort of city building / RPG type of mash-up for Android. The city building aspects are sort of a side note with this game while the RPG elements really are the focus.
It’s Friday, last day of the week before the weekend and it is time for another ‘Awesomeness’ article. Today though we get to talk about Google and how they are paying homage to StarCraft today, or more specifically, the Zerg Rush tactic from StarCraft.
