Kyocera proved today that you don’t need a somewhat powerful phone to enjoy Android’s latest OS. The company announced two lower-end Android 4.0 smartphones at CTIA called the Hydro and the Rise. Although pricing is not yet known, chances are these phones aren’t going to cost much after being subsidized by a carrier. The off-contract prices shouldn’t be too bad either.

Back in the beginning of this month we talked about a new physics-based heading our way called Doctor Rocket. Developed by RippleWare, this game features 100% physics-based gameplay along with a Sonic The Hedgehog-esque style of blazing through levels at a rather fast speed gameplay mechanic.
Recently a remake of the popular adventure game Leisure Suit Larry was up on Kickstarter and ended up being successfully funded for development. You may remember some of the posts where we talked about this remake which will be called Leisure Suit Larry HD.
A couple of months ago the Quality Index opened up a section dedicated for Android applications and games. Since then they have posted a Top 10 list for each month for both Android applications and games. We figured it would be fun to start posting the Top 10 list for Android games each month by Quality Index.
Aoineko Studios has recently started up a Kickstarter project for a full 3D RPG title called Kitaru which is slated for release on multiple platforms including Android. The Kickstarter project has been up for about two weeks and has already passed the halfway mark for funding.

Fans of Motocross now have another game to play on your Android device now thanks to 2XL Games. This particular title is actually an official Ricky Carmichael game simply called Ricky Carmichael’s Motocross and the developers have done a pretty solid job on this title.
Interesting news coming out of Japan today regarding a certain game mechanic that they have just ruled as illegal. Due to this new ruling, the stocks of some major social gaming companies like GREE, DeNA and others have plummeted drastically to upwards of a 23 percent loss.
While the rest of us here in the U.S. have to wait to get our hands on Samsung’s latest addition to the Galaxy line of Android phones, the Samsung Galaxy S III, UK residents can now begin pre-ordering it off of Amazon UK. The only difficult question you will be facing is what color you want.
As the title states, Colony Defender is the first ever isometric shooter defense game. That is what the developers, Handcrafted, are dubbing the game anyways and it does seem to be true. Colony Defender is more akin to an RTS game though than a shooter defense title.
