Online multiplayer shooters on Android are pretty uncommon. I personally liked N.O.V.A. 3, and there was Modern Combat 3 as well. Anyway, Madfinger Games, creators of games such as Shadowgun and Dead Trigger, have entered the mobile multiplayer shooting space as well with Shadowgun: Deadzone. The game is, in short, good – but just how good?

While everyone sits around whacking away at a giant cube in the hopes of being the person to land the last hit which will then reveal the secret within the cube, Peter Molyneux and his studio called 22 Cans are already working on their next game called Godus. Once again they have hit up Kickstarter to get funding for this new project which has nothing to do with whacking or cubes.
While you sift through all the games on sale as well as Android devices this weekend, SteelSeries has also put on a bit of a sale. In fact all of their products on their web store are at least 30% off and that includes the two mobile gaming products the company has recently released. Both the SteelSeries Free mobile gaming controller and the SteelSeria Flux headset are on sale this weekend only.
For those of you who have finished Chaos Rings already, Square Enix have released a second installment into the Chaos Rings series onto Android called Chaos Rings Omega. However, even though this is a second installment into the series, Chaos Rings Omega is actually a prequel to the original Chaos Rings. So what’s this prequel all about?
Just a few days ago, the rhythmic-strategy game Orgarhythm THD launched. It’s a direct port of a PS Vita title that costs $30, and on Google Play it was separated into four portions, the first of which was free, and the latter three costing almost $9 each, bringing the total cost to over $25. Mind you, this for a mobile game.
Madfinger Games has gotten into the spirit of this Thanksgiving weekend and all the sales that come along with it. The fine folks over at Madfinger Games have discounted both Shadowgun and Samurai II: Vengeance down to a mere $0.99. They haven’t stopped there either as all in-game purchases inside Dead Trigger are also discounted by 50% off their normal price.
Google is hosting another sale only this time there are no $0.10 or $0.25 games for you to pick up. Instead this Thanksgiving weekend has Google listing a selection of titles that have rather large discounts happening inside of them. We say ‘inside of them’ because almost everything in the list is a free-to-play game supported through in-game purchases, so the sale is in regards to in-game currency packages and other IAPs available within those games.
A couple of weeks ago we mentioned that a rather highly rated iOS tower defense game from Melesta Games called Toy Defense would be making its way to the shores of Android soon. Well as of a couple of days ago Toy Defense has become available for purchase and download off of the Google Play store. This particular tower defense game is a bit on the lighter side of things when compared to other, more serious, tower defense games.
One game we are eager to get our hands on is the upcoming Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition from Beamdog. For those of you who have missed our previous coverage regarding this game, we’ve been following its progress since it was first announced being under development. Now the game looks to be in the final stages of development and testing and should be arriving fairly soon.
