Recently OUYA started a ‘game jam’ called CREATE which, in reality, is a bit more of a development competition more than an actual game jam. Regardless of how you want to look at it, OUYA has been offering up $45,000 in prizes across different categories for great games submitted by developers for the OUYA console.

This is a great way to get even more developer support behind OUYA before the console launches this March and it appears to be doing rather well. A new update from OUYA has 166 different game prototypes entries from around the world having been already submitted to CREATE.
What is even better is the fact that we can check out every single one of these entries over on the official OUYA CREATE entry page. While some of these look somewhat rough, granted these are prototypes and early builds, some of the entries look to have a lot of promise. Definitely check some of the entries out if you have a few minutes or an hour to spare.
There is still some time left before the submission time ends for developers so we could see a last minute surge near the end when a bunch of developers submit their entries at that point. If you have a favorite in the entries list, let us know what it is in the comments below.
