A new MMO Action-RPG game is heading our way soon called Pocket Galaxy. developed by MMOJoe and published by Spectacle Games, Pocket Galaxy is a full cross-platform MMO Action-RPG where players can choose to play as one of two available factions: The Varians or The Shards. Once you pick which faction you want to play as you will begin your journey of dominance in the futuristic MMO themed game where you’ll be flying your ship, fighting enemies and harvesting resources.
It is hard to classify this game into a specific genre since there are some RPG elements to it such as leveling up through gaining XP as well as completing quests as you play the game. You’ll be able to buy upgrades for your ship, or even whole new ships (there are three different classes of ships), and craft new equipment for your ships by gathering resources. Of course you’ll be doing that while fighting off space pirates and faction enemies.
Pocket Galaxy comes with quite a lot of multiplayer content such as the ability to form Flight Groups. These are essentially groups of players on the same faction you team up to accomplish the same goal. This goal could be taking down other players on the opposite faction or conquering an enemy faction’s outpost. Players can also form groups in order to dominate territories, taking them over from the opposing faction.
Dominating the galaxy on behave of your faction is pretty much the main goal of this game. Players will gain Domination Points (DP) which can be earned through such actions like killing Pirates, claiming sectors by destroying and building Outposts or support structures, and almost anything else related to advancing your faction while weakening your enemy faction.
There is plenty of content outside of the whole PvP aspect to Pocket Galaxy as well. Players who are a little bit more on the casual side of gaming can work their way through over 250 different missions, each with different goals for players to achieve in order to complete each mission successfully. Most of the crafting that players will be doing and other tasks similar to that are handle at different space stations which you can warp to through jump gates.
Other features that come with Pocket Galaxy include a full Guild System, player centric in-game economy, in-depth crafting and resource gathering. Everything is in real-time as well which is where the action gaming mechanics come in. You’ll be flying your ship around, guns blazing as you take out pirates and enemy players while trying to gather resources or completing missions.
Players will be able to play simultaneously across iOS, Android and PC with your friends no matter where you are or what time of day it is. Unless, of course, you don’t have a signal for your phone to work. This game goes even further in-depth with its gameplay, much more so than we’ve described here. This game is free-to-play and you can play the game without spending a dime. However, there is a secondary in-game currency you can purchase with real world money should you want little bonuses like speeding up resource refining and crafting tasks.
