TestFlight drops closed beta tags, allows developers to easily run public betas

TestFlight is an interesting service that has been in closed beta for a little while now. What this service does is provide Android developers an area that makes it much more easy to run any sort of public beta for their application or game that they may be working on. Instead of having to put the beta version of your game on Google Play, or provide a self-hosted or cloud-based download and having people manually install your beta, TestFlight allows people to download and install a beta version of your game off the internet and onto their device.

The closed beta has been running for the past 45 days and already TestFlight has seen some pretty impressive numbers to the tune of 5,000 developers getting on board with over 4,500 apps and games being uploaded which have been downloaded more than 50,000 times.

This service isn’t just a place for developers to upload beta version of their games and applications though. TestFlight also provides some handy tools that developers can use such as beta app management, distribution, tracking, and centralized feedback. Features like crash reports will be added one the SDK is made available in the next week or so.

TestFlight is dropping the private beta tags and is now going into a public beta phase. That means developers can sign up as can people interested in being apart of beta testing upcoming games and applications. All you need to do is sign-up.
