[Updated] OrangePixel’s Gauntlet style game Heroes of Loot launching September 12th

OrangePixel has been working on a Gauntlet style for quite some time now called Heroes of Loot. Up until now we haven’t really had a solid release date for this game but thanks to a tweet over on their Twitter account today, we now know that Heroes of Loot will be arriving onto Android on September 12th, 2013 and possibly Ouya as well on the same day.

Update: September 3rd, 2013 8:00am PST: A quick update to let everyone know that Heroes of Loot is confirmed done for Ouya as well (with 2-plyer co-op as well) and will be released the same day as the normal Android version.

For those of you unfamiliar with this game, essentially this is a dungeon crawling game that takes inspiration from the classic arcade game Gauntlet. You’ll have a few classes to pick before you dive into the dungeons looking for loot. Players will also be able to purchase items and potions through stores with the money you find inside the dungeons.

Heroes of Loot will feature roguelike mechanics so you won’t be running the same dungeon twice each time you play the game. Everything is randomized. As for pricing, we don’t know that just yet but generally OrangePixel games are no more than $2.99 and there is usually a free full version of their games that is ad supported.
