Award-winning Augmented Reality game Clandestine: Anomaly will be released soon for Android

Augmented Reality games can be pretty fun and there is an award-winning one heading our way soon. Developed by ZenFri, and co-written by Gears of War 2 writer Joshua Ortega, Clandestine: Anomaly will be launching onto mobile devices starting this month. This is an alternate-reality science fiction adventure where an alien spaceship crash lands in your neighborhood, narrowly missing your house.

After this alien ship crashes near your house, things go downhill for you from this point on, as your phone becomes an unwitting tactical galactic sentry. Players will partake in seek-and-destroy missions, taking place in your neighborhood, and throughout teach mission you will be following the storyline through a full complex narrative. In other words, your location that you are actually at will end up becoming a full science-fiction action game that you can play at any time.

Here is the official synopsis for the game’s storyline:

After your phone is hacked by mysterious and advanced alien technology, you are thrust into the middle of an inter-galactic war. Though you possess no training, no experience, zero authorization and no skills that can help you navigate through the interstellar struggle, your involvement is paramount to deciphering the clues in your immediate area and beyond. Unraveling a multi-dimensional mystery, it’s up to you to act.

As you progress through this game, you will level up, becoming stronger and more knowledgeable regarding the tools and technology in your control, be able to unlock new gear and technology, and make unique weapon configurations for customized loadouts to help you not fail.

Right now Clandestine: Anomaly is slated for release onto iOS first this month, while the Android version will be arriving shortly afterwards. Unfortunately there is no specific date announced for the Android version. We will post an update once it does launch for Android.
