Netmarble reveals their great looking online RPG called IDEA, heading to Android later this year

Netmarble has hinted at a pretty big game release for mobile but today the company has finally pulled back the curtain to reveal exactly what this game is. It is an online RPG called IDEA, and that is the working title which could change before its release. Regardless of whatever the game ends up being called, this is another title that looks pretty impressive.

Lately we have seem some pretty impressive looking games either getting released or announced for Android as of late, such as Implosion or the upcoming Action-RPG called Angel Stone. We can now add IDEA to this list. While there isn’t a ton of details regarding IDEA right now, we do know that it is an online RPG with a big emphasis on Guild Battles and other PvP type combat.

IDEA features up to 21 vs 21 player real-time battles which all take place to an orchestral soundtrack by renowned composer, Steve Jablonsky (previous works include movies such as Transformers, Pearl Harbor and The Island). In other words, not only will players partake in massive epic feeling battles, but there will be the music to back it all up as well.

IDEA delivers a complete online RPG saga through real-time large scale combat with your guild. Just like a PC online game, players will be able to fully experience the thrill of battle, this time utilizing a mobile device. – Hong Kyu Kim, representative for Netmarble Npark

In order to keep things fresh, IDEA will launch with nine different themes, with a total of 80 different maps for these battles to take place on. Players can pick one of the available classes to play as, those being Berserker, Assassin and Mage, which can then be customized using 3,151 types of equipment to create your own strategic moves through various skill combinations.

When will IDEA be released? Right now there is a July time frame for a South Korea launch, with the rest of the world to get the game shortly afterwards. No word on pricing as of yet but we do have a trailer to check out.
