It’s Friday which means it is time once again for our end of the week round-up of Android games on sale right now for this weekend. While some of the games on this round-up’s list are repeats, we also have a lot of newcomers as well. This is especially true with not only SNK Playmore putting games on sale but also 11-bit Studios getting in on the action as well.
Day: 17 July 2015
Soon to be released by Namco Bandi and Victory Square Games, “Pac-Man Bounce” is their latest edition to the Pac-Man franchise. This time around they’re releasing a collection of puzzles, and they’ll debut it for Android with a a global release on Google Play to occur later this year.
SNK Playmore releases some classic SNK games for Android, many of which were found on Neo Geo arcade machines, in the 1990s. For anyone looking for some retro, side scrolling action games or retro fighting games, or an arcade shooter, they’ve listed several of them on sale for $0.99.
Stupid Zombie 3 is the latest installment into the Stupid Zombie franchise and this one will be arriving onto Android on July 22nd. Developed by GameResort, this is an action-puzzle game where the goal in each stage is to kill all the zombies. Glu Mobile has released another movie tie-in game and this time there’s no onslaught of killer robots in it. If you’re a fan of brawler games then this weekend is a big one for you as today marks the beginning of EVO 2015. For those of you not familiar with this competition, EVO 2015 is the yearly championship event held here in our hometown of Las Vegas, but instead of it being for a single game like most events, this one is for numerous games including Ultra Street Fighter IV, Mortal Kombat X, Super Smash Bros, and so on.
Usually Kemco releases retro-style RPGs onto Android but on occasion they tend to throw a curve ball out there with either a 3D games, or something that is a bit different than their norm. Tears Revolude is the company’s newest release and it falls into that category of a curve ball, mainly regarding the visual style of the game.
Sokoban fans have a new game to check out called The Nodus from Stuart’s Pixel Games. Like most Sokoban style games, players will need to move around colored blocks in The Nodus in order to find the solution for that particular stage. Once you find that, you can move on to the next puzzle.
Back in April 2015 we reported on Herocraft and the fact they had begun a beta testing phase for their upcoming Warhammer 40K: Space Wolf game. Since then the beta has been running but it looks like everything is good to go as Herocraft has dropped the beta tags for this game and it is now officially available. With a franchise as big as Warhammer (both the fantasy one and 40K) you would think all the games we currently have related to the franchise would be great. In truth, only a couple have been on the level of great, and Warhammer 40K: Space Wolf is one that can be added to this list.
Asobimo’s new MMORPG Toram Online is now officially out of beta status and available for download
A week ago we reported on Asobimo’s newest MMORPG having made its way to Google Play in a sort of open beta release. This game has actually been in a more closed beta testing phase for awhile now, but it seems everything has gone pretty well as the company has dropped the beta tags and dressed up in their finest ‘official release’ clothing.
