Final Fantasy: Record Keeper will have a cross-over event with Final Fantasy XIV next month

DeNA and Square Enix have announced today that they will be doing a cross-over event with Final Fantasy: Record Keeper and Final Fantasy XIV which will start next month. Final Fantasy: Record Keeper will be featuring the more popular content from the MMORPG during the cross-over event.

When the event begins, players will be taken to the realm of Eorzea, where the story of FFXIV unfolds. They will get a chance to play as two characters (Thancred and Y’shtola) from the underground organization, The Scions of the Seventh Dawn. The official name for the event is Flames of Vengeance and it will be a time-limited event. All of this is to celebrate the upcoming second anniversary for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

If you are not familiar with these two new characters, Thancred can use various equipment and abilities while Y’shtola is a Miqo’te Conjurer who has both offensive and healing spells. One interesting thing to note with Y’shtola is that she is one of the characters who is usually representing Final Fantasy XIV in various other cross-over events, so it is no surprise she is making an appearance in this one.

Unfortunately there is no specific launch date yet for this cross-over event, only that it will be happening next month in September. We will post an update once we learn more about when this event will happen. You can check out what both characters look like from FF XIV below.
