According to a report from Geek Snack, Capcom is now testing a release of Breath of Fire 6 for release on Android, as a free to play game.

Initially, the games was supposed to be released soon, but Capcom is now opening up a window for beta testers, from September 8th through the 15th, offered on a site in Japanese. Breath of Fire 6 is being designed with touchscreen controls in mind from the ground up.

Breath of Fire 6 is slated to support cross-platform play, cloud syncing to save progress, and anticipates a fall release of the game in Japan. There will be online play available as well when it launches. As for a Western release, no release date has been mentioned as of yet, and there may not even be one.
