[Update: Release Date] Shine light on the disappearance of your family in Bulb Boy, possibly coming to mobile soon

Bulb Boy is a horror-adventure game currently being development for PC gamers (via Steam) that has already started winning awards while it is being developed. This is a 2D point-and-click adventure game that pays a little homage to the point-and-click adventure games from back in the day that were incredibly popular.

Update: July 11th, 2016 11:05am PST: It’s been awhile since we had any information about the release of Bulb Boy onto Android. Today the developers have finally announced a release date for this game. For those of you looking forward to picking up a copy of this game, Bulb Boy will finally be available on Google Play this July 21st, 2016. We will post another update once it actually arrives.

Awoken in the middle of the night with horrible premonitions of evil, Bulb Boy learns that his family has disappeared, and the house is full of monsters instead. Players will assume the role of the eponymous Bulb Boy and search out his missing family, aided only by the fact that his head is a giant and glowing green light bulb.

With this being the case, it allows some unique abilities such as easily surviving electrical shocks, or being able to unscrew his head in order to place it elsewhere. The game draws inspiration from other titles as well such as Machinarium and Gobliiins, according to the developers.

The desktop version is set to release during Halloween of this year via Steam, and the intention to release onto mobile devices at a later time. We’ll update as we know more. Of course you could always use GameStream or something similar to play it on your Android device when the PC version launches.
