Classic board game Titan has been ported over to Android tablets

Titan is a board game that’s been ported over to Android. In this game, players are seeking to build up legions that utilize titans, that they will use against their opponents.

These legions will include a special unit called a Titan, which must be the last of its kind alive, in order to win the game. Should a player’s titan get killed off, that player then loses the game. Players will have their legions face off, with the winner being awarded points, which are in turn used to upgrade or add to their legion.

Like the board game, there are two different types of boards, on which the game is played. The main board that shows the terrain for the land, is hex shaped and comprised of more triangular hex shapes, where players are moving around and mustering. When players come in contact with each other, battle will ensue on one of several smaller and separate boards, also hex based. These correlate to the terrain on the master board. The game supports a number of players between two and six, local human or AI, and is designed at this point for tablets only.

Given how detailed the board game is, it’s no surprise to see this port requiring larger screens. Players that are interested in seeing more about the game can check out the trailer below. Titan HD can be purchased from Google Play for a flat cost of $4.99. If you enjoy playing board games that require critical-thinking and a dash of strategy, Titan HD may be exactly what you are looking for.
