Google will give Pixel pre-orders a free Daydream View VR Headset, only for US pre-orders

Google really wants to make sure that their new Pixel line of phones is a success, along with the company’s newly announced Daydream View VR headset. In order to do that, Google is adding a promo code to each Pixel and Pixel XL pre-order that, when redeemed, will get you a Daydream View headset for free. However there is a slight problem, and that is most of the Pixel phones have been sold out via pre-order on the Google Store.

Right now all three colors of the Pixel XL are sold out completely, which if you take into account how long that took to happen, is under 24hrs and that isn’t a real surprise. As for the 5″ Pixel, there is still stock available for that device, but only in two colors: Very Silver and Quite Black. The Limited Edition Really Blue isn’t available for the 5″ Pixel phone at all.

Regardless of the route you go with getting a Pixel phone, if you do it through the Google Store, you’ll get the promo code for a free Daydream View VR headset, which is a pretty nice deal. Nothing wrong with saving $80 and netting yourself the new VR headset in the process. You can either buy your new Pixel phone outright on Google Store, or use Google’s financing option to pay it off in monthly payments over 24 months.

A couple of important details you need to know though. First, this offer is only available for Pixel pre-orders in the US. This isn’t available for any other pre-orders located outside of the United States. Secondly, this offer only runs until October 9th, 2016, so you do not have a lot of time to take advantage of it.
