Yobot Run is a cool new retro platform that is now available for download

Indie developer Serkan Bakar has already released around 11 games onto Android and now his newest title has arrived, making it his 12th, called Yobot Run. This particular game is actually a retro style platform than an arcade runner, and it is a pretty neat one at that.

In Yobot Run players will be controlling their little robot, trying to avoid all the hazards and collecting all the coins in each level, without having your robot die before getting to the exit in each stage. You won’t have to worry about making your robot run as he does that automatically, but that also makes things a bit more challenging when it comes to avoiding enemies and hazards.

Yobot Run Features:

– 8 bit retro style graphics and animations
– Retro chiptune musics and sounds
– 32 levels
– Googleplay leaderboard
– Facebook screenshot share

Visually, Yobot Run is very retro looking, featuring an off grey and black color style, with a little color added here and there, reminiscent of those old school standalone mobile games you could buy as a kid, depending on how old you are of course. They are still available. Even though your robot does automatically run, there is a halt feature you can use in order to stop him, but that only provides a bit of safety when it comes to avoiding enemies. This game is very much about timing your jumps.

For those of you wanting to check out this game, Yobot Run is available off of Google Play for free and does come with optional IAPs as well. You can check out the game’s trailer below to see some of the gameplay in action.
