Brilliant Tablet-Top Board Game The Warlock of Firetop Mountain Teased for Possible Android Release

Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone’s fighting fantasy gamebook The Warlock of Firetop Mountain has come along way since its 1982 release.  After a re-release, a board game, and even a first-person Nintendo DS version Tin Man Games took it to a whole new level after successfully funding a Kickstarter campaign to make it a tabletop video game.  Once that did well on Steam, they brought it to mobile markets via iOS, but the rest of us need not worry too much as there is hope that we too may share in the glorious quest for the warlock Zagor’s treasure of untold wealth.

In a blog post looking forward to what’s coming in 2017, Tin Man Games mentions that in addition to 2 expansions for the PC, Mac, and Linux versions- featuring new characters, quests, and areas- they are also bringing the game to new digital platforms.  After they announced their iOS release, they also said that if we were not an iOS user that we, “can console yourself that it may be appearing on some other platforms too!”

The Warlock of Firetop Mountain is a phenomenal tablet-top experience where the world is built around you as you proceed through the story, and it’ll be great to have on non-iOS devices.  They had previously said they were unsure if an Android version was going to happen, but at least now we have a very good chance to see it happen.
