Another week, another excellent selection of new games out on Android. Let’s be honest though – visibility in Google Play is very poor. Which games are new? Which are good?
Fortunately for you wonderful readers, we’ve done Google’s job for them and sifted through for the best releases this week. If you were looking for a few games to play over the weekend, you’ve come to the right place.
War of Crown
War of Crown is a hero collector RPG in a similar vein to Fire Emblem: Heroes, but it takes it a step further with gorgeous 3D visuals and a plot.
If anything, it’s a little more like Fire Emblem than its influencer. You’ve got more space to battle on, more heroes to bring with you, and lovely animated cutscenes.
It’s well worth checking out for RPG and collector fans. Grab it right now on Google Play.
Robot Unicorn Attack 3
You know what? Robot Unicorn Attack 3 is self-explanatory. It’s a sequel to the previous iteration, and challenges you to once again endlessly run around crazy environments as a robot unicorn.
There are differences though. You’ll create a team of three chargers, send unicorns on raids, melt down unwanted ones for upgrades, and participate in events.
It’s one of those games where you’re summoning stuff gacha-style. They’re all the rage right now. Go and grab it from Google Play.
Neon Chrome
Neon Chrome is a twin stick shooter roguelike. You run around a bunch of procedurally generated maps, blasting enemies and the environment.
It’s tough, so you’re going to die a lot. But you’ll improve, largely thanks to the loot you collect during each run. The weapons, abilities, perks, and skills you gather are all persistent.
If you like shooters and roguelikes, go and grab it from Google Play now.
Cosmo Race
Cosmo Race is another multiplayer racer that challenges you to do whatever it takes to cross the finish line before your friends do. Much like Mario Kart, that usually involves fighting dirty.
The difference here is that you don’t have to move forward. As long as you make it to the next checkpoint, you can take any available route.
Sounds like fun? Grab it from Google Play.
Star Wars: Puzzle Droids
Puzzle Droids might just be standard match three puzzling fare, but fans of Star Wars would do well to check it out. Why? Because you get to experience classic moments from another perspective, and view others that have so far gone untold.
Also, you might be one of the few who actually likes match threes. You probably also like Star Wars – most people do, after all. If that’s the case, what are you waiting for? Grab it from Google Play now.
Riven
Riven is the remastered sequel to 1993’s Myst, which itself recently got remastered on Android. It’s more of the same first person point and click adventuring, but with a completely different aesthetic.
Whether you’ve played it before, or you enjoyed Myst for the first time on Android, you owe it to yourself to check out this sequel. Go and grab it from Google Play now.
