Finally! In a move we’ve all been waiting for, Niantic added Legendary Pokemon to Pokemon GO this week. You can now discover, fight, and catch them all over the world.
It’ll take more than a simple Pokeball to catch them though. To grab these particular Pokemon, you’ll have to team up with other players in Raid Battles.
Legendary Pokemon Lugia and Articuno are now available in Pokemon GO
The first batch of Legendary Pokemon are Lugia and Articuno, with Zapdos and Moltres also arriving later. We’re not sure when, or if, the rest of the Legendary monsters will make it into the game though.
Niantic kicked off the new update with a massive festival in Chicago, where we saw the Legendary Pokemon in game for the first time. Players who attended also had the opportunity to catch them right there and then.
Now seems as good a time as ever to duck back into Pokemon GO, so go and grab it right now from Google Play.
