5 Android stories you should have read this week

DC Unchained Android

This was a stellar week for Android releases, so most of our coverage focused on those. We did uncover some great upcoming games as well though, so there was a nice balance.

In case you were too busy to keep up to date with all of the happenings this week, we’ve compiled the top stories into a single list just for you. So sit back and relax into Saturday with the top five Android stories this week.

We discovered DC Unchained – a hack and slash inspired by Marvel Future Fight

If you’ve played Marvel Future Fight, you know exactly what to expect from DC Unchained. It’s a hack and slash in which you collect a bunch of heroes and villains and form them into a team of your favourites.

We’re not sure exactly when it’s out though, as the trailer only revealed that it was coming soon. Keep an eye on Droid Gamers to learn more as it happens.

A tactical Counter-Strike-like shooter Combat Squad launched on Google Play

One of many stellar launches this week was Combat Squad, a shooter inspired by Counter-Strike. It does add to the experience though, by allowing you to set objectives for your AI squad before a match.

You can then take over any of the members and do the shooting for them. It sounds pretty fun. No need to wait for it either, as it’s out right now on Google Play.

Carmagedon: Crashers finally launched on Android

Also out this week was Carmageddon: Crashers, the drag racing joust ’em up set in the Carmageddon franchise.

Here, you drive headfirst into your opponent as fast as you can. The least destroyed vehicle is then crowned the winner. You earn cash for wins, and you can spend it on new cars and upgrades.

Sounds like fun? Good. Go and get it on Google Play.

Following a brief period of iOS exclusivity, Motorsport Manager 2 arrived on Android

Motorsport Manager 2 arrived on Android this week, and we’re super glad it did. It’s the sequel to arguably the best racing management simulator on mobile and it’s bigger and better than ever.

The visuals are fancier, there’s more depth, and a wealth of new options. Even if you’re not into cars, you might just enjoy this one so go and grab it on Google Play right now.

Finally, Titanfall: Assault launched globally

Wrapping up this week’s top stories is the launch of Titanfall: Assault. We’ve been waiting for this Clash Royale style MOBA for some time.

You’ll build a deck of pilots and titans and send them off into battle to capture various checkpoints. If you like TitanfallClash Royale, or MOBAs you’ll get a kick out of this. Grab it on Google Play.
