Clash Royale will get a sizeable update tomorrow that adds a bunch of new electric themed stuff. This includes new cards, an arena, and the usual balance updates.
The cards are clearly the most exciting new feature, so before we move on to the other stuff let’s detail them.
Zappies
Zappies spawns a pack of miniature Zap machines, which presumably unleash a miniature version of the spell Zap. This will be great for crowd control against strong groups of units.
Hunter
The Hunter is a shotgun-wielding fighter that deals a ton of damage up close, but not so much at range. His damage will likely scale depending on how close he is to an enemy. He’s likely a defensive powerhouse.
Electro Valley
Electro Valley is a brand new arena that unlocks at 3,400 trophies. The Legendary Arena is now arena 12 and has had its rewards improved to account for the changes.
New chests
Also included in the update are brand new chests. The Lightning Chest replaces card stacks of your choice for up to five Strikes, the Fortune Chest shows you a glimpse of what you might get, and the King’s and Legendary King’s chests contain a ton of Epic and Legendary cards.
General improvements
There’s also some less exciting general improvements on the way. The Daily Gifts quest will always remain active, Epic and Legendary cards will appear in the shop more often at 4,000+ trophies, and you’re less likely to see max level cards in chests or the shop.
Balance updates
Last but not least, you’ve got the usual balance updates. This one aims alter fast units like the Hog Rider and Prince, amongst others.
The Hog Rider and Knight have both received nerfs to their attack speed, while the Prince has had a 5% HP boost and has seen a boost in attack speed. All spells have also received a 5% reduction in damage when hitting the Crown Tower.
The Giant Skeleton and Guards have both received a boost in HP, while the latter only will also attack more often and do more damage. Goblins, Goblin Gang, and Goblin Barrel have had a damage reduction.
