Epic announced last week that Fortnite Battle Royale is coming to mobile, to much fanfare. While we knew it would be exactly the same as its PC, Mac, and console counterparts, we couldn’t really imagine it.
Well, there’s no need for imagination now. Epic has just released the first official reveal trailer, and it shows off gameplay footage. Sure, it doesn’t appear quite as polished as the other versions, it definitely looks like proper Fortnite.

The visuals remain nice and cartoony, the silly charm is present in all its glory, and it appears to run quite smoothly. You should take all of that with a pinch of salt for now though.
Underneath the trailer, we can see that all of the footage is from an iPhone X, which has pretty meaty internals. What we really need to know is how it will run on a more common device, not a ridiculously expensive super phone.
We’ll find out soon enough though. Fortnite Battle Royale will soon enter a beta phase. It’s iOS only, but hopefully we’ll hear how it runs from users with earlier iPhone models. We’ll keep you posted.
