Battleheart 2 is close to completion, according to developer Mika. In a joke tweet, Mika stated that all that’s left is the final boss (and getting over a cold).
Of course, Mika doesn’t mean that it has to beat the boss before it can launch the game though. That would be ludicrous. No, we assume that work on designing the final boss is still underway, but the rest is pretty much complete.

Battleheart 2 is a sequel to the original mobile RPG. It was pretty innovative back in its day, letting you simply swipe to move your 2D units, and tap massive buttons to unleash attacks.

There was a sequel – Battleheart Legacy – but it was more of an action RPG with a 3D world to explore and stuff like that. This true upcoming sequel will bring the franchise back to its roots.
