Before Fortnite became the cultural phenomenon of 2018, another battle royale-style multiplayer shooter ruled the waves (of blood).
PUBG — short for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, after the legendary modder who cracked the whole battle royale thing in ARMA — is the original and, some would say, best battle royale experience going.
PUBG Mobile is the mobile spinoff of PUBG, and it’s just several new features in a major update, including a Mini Zone arcade mode and first-person perspective.
The Mini Zone sees 100 players into a smaller than usual circle with three times as many weapons. The first person, meanwhile, is first-person. Obviously.
The update also adds emotes, airplane and weapon finishes, and an armoury.
