Netflix is creating an original anime TV series that takes place in the Ingress universe. Incase you’re not aware of what that is, it’s the original location based game by Niantic.
You might know that developer better as the creator of Pokémon GO. Yup, those guys. The anime will tell the no doubt confusing tale of exotic matter leaking through a bunch of mysterious portals.
Ingress will get its own anime series later this year
This matter just so happens to be granting random people psychic powers. So it’s up to Makoto and Sarah to battle people for those mysterious portals. Who knows why!
Ultimately, it follows the same story as the reboot of Ingress – Ingress Prime – will tell later this year. Both the anime and game focus on battling faction against faction for control of mysterious portals.
