A new tower defense game recently got released onto the Android Market called Aliens Defense by Gaddy Games. This tower defense title has pretty much all the standard features you would find in a tower defense game with a few exceptions thrown in.
For starters, Aliens Defense is on a hexagon playing field which some tower defense game do use. However, your turrets have a rotation limit so they just don’t spin 360 degrees like in a lot of tower defense games available. Also, the monsters use an interesting AI which makes them a bit ‘smarter’ than your average bear.
The monsters in this game will actually attack your defenses in order to try and make a quick path to your base. So aside from having to be a bit more strategic with your tower placement, due to the rotation limits, you also have to be on your toes in case they break through your defenses. Basically you will always need to have a back-up plan, just in case.
If you are up for a bit of a different style of tower defense then you may want to check this one out. It is available in both a free demo version and a full version which you can purchase for around $1.30. If you are up for it, you can even try it out in a limited fashion with the web-based version as well. One thing we do suggest this developer does is really improve their Android Market listing.
