Wizards of the Coast to bring an official D&D Forgotten Realms game to mobile

Wizards of the Coast happens to be planning a big event that is supposed to reshape the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms world in its entirety. The company plans to do a variety of things in regards to this but the one thing that is of interest to us Android gamers is the fact that Wizards of the Coast will be bringing an official D&D Forgotten Realms game to mobile.

The entire event is being called ‘The Sundering’ and will pretty much span across all the different types of media that Forgotten Realms is apart of. This includes six new novels that will be written by some of the established Dungeons & Dragons authors like R.A. Salvatore, Troy Denning and Ed Greenwood.

Another part of this reshaping is a mobile game called Arena of War which will be a free-to-play title when it gets released. This will be a 3D RPG that will actually run along side the entire event, hosting multiplayer competitions and timed events within the game itself. These will run throughout the duration of the event until it ends. As it turns out, this is the same mobile game we talked about back in May of this year in regards to DeNA gearing up to release a D&D game which we now know is the same as this one.

Pre-registration is available if you want to sign-up early for Arena of War. You will get an ultra rare power called Cause Fear for doing so. No word on exactly when this will all start but the event will be a year-long one.
