For those of you interested in Bluestacks' upcoming Android-powered game consoles called the GamePop and GamePop Mini, we will be doing an interview with Bluestacks next week. If you have any questions you want answered regarding their subscription-based console gaming service, leave them here.

Well, I have a couple of questions regarding the basic funccionality:

  • Is always-online the way it's going to work? If yes, what happens if your internet stops working while in a game?
  • Are the games going to se the standard "download-data and play" method or the games will be streamed to the console (like the OnLive thing)?
  • Can the games be backed up the same way you can on Steam for example?
  • Is the console going to work world-wide or will there be country restrictions?
  • WIll it offer any multimedia functionality, like internet browsing, music player etc.?

(I haven't really been following the console so not sure if those are already answered)

WHat are the different pay rates? Will there a gold or platinum subscription rate? DO we have to subscribe for a set amount of time?

  • On the website's FAQ, you stated that the GamePop Mini will be "plenty" powerful enough to handle all of our favorite games and apps. In that case, what would be the point in paying an extra $129 in order to get a slightly more powerful console and more supported peripherals?
  • I've read that the GamePop will be capable of playing iOS games. How will this work? Will the supported iOS games be put into the GamePop library?
  • Will the GamePop Mini have support for iOS games?
