While Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.6.0 has arrived in full force on both Android and iOS, MinePocket-MP has also been updated and a new development build is now available for download as well. Keeping in tune with the Minecraft: Pocket Edition version, the new version of MinePocket-MP is also labeled as 0.6.0 Alpha.
Support for a lot of the features that are now in Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.6.0 have arrived in MinePocket-MP. However, keep in mind that it is the development build that has been updated and not the stable build. The stable build will be updated once everything is tested and confirmed to be stable enough.
MinePocket-MP changelog (support added for):
- Signs
- Armor
- Eating
- Entity & Tile Entity saving
- Entity Gravity
- Entity Metadata
- Item Despawn (5 minutes)
- Void damage
- Burning damage
- New types of blocks
- New placement rules for stairs & slabs
The above list is sort of a quick rundown of the new changes with MinePocket-MP. There is a more detailed list available through the link below. If you run a server and are using the stable build, it is always recommended to stick with the stable build until it's updated. If you don't mind running development builds of software, then by all means download the new 0.6.0 version of MinePocket-MP.
