Spacetime Studios officially announces Dark Legends MMORPG. Here's the low down.

Spacetime Studios has officially announced the third installment into the 'Legends' series of MMORPGs called Dark Legends. As we mentioned in our previous article about Dark Legends, this will be a vampire themed MMORPG but today we have plenty more information to share.

The basis of the game is that players will have vampire character and you will be facing the rest of the mythical undead world including Werewolves, The Undead, Demons and even Humans, all of which are out to kill you, the vampires. Back when we first reported on Dark Legends we didn't have a whole lot of information about the game but now Spacetime Studios has revealed more about what we can expect including some very new and promising sounding gameplay mechanics.

First of all, Dark Legends will be more story driven then previous Legends games. Not only will the storyline be narrated through the multiplayer missions, players will also be able to do single-player quick quests. These quick quests are missions you can complete with a single tap which will treat you to brief cut scenes to create an interactive storybook, where players experience the life of a vampire up-close and personal.

The combat system is also slightly different with new gameplay mechanic involved with this as well. You will have your usual quick action attacks like previous games but players will also be able to use things like charge attacks as well as being able to drain the health of enemies. This makes sense considering you are vampires after all. Even though there will be things like charge attacks, the combat is suppose to be quite fast-paced.

There is also mention of secret societies that players can join but whether this is referring to guilds players can create or actual vampire bloodlines remains to be seen. We are hoping that Spacetime Studios went all out like they normal do and including bloodlines with different abilities per bloodline.

The game itself opens with the player being recently sired and that the revelation that vampires exist has come out in the human world. This has rather pissed the humans off and so you will be dealing with them before it goes all down hill when werewolves, demons and other mean creatures get into the mix, all wanting your vampire heads on a stake.

Unfortunately we don't have any screenshots of the game just yet but we do know that it will be available in Q1 of this year so we won't have to wait long. One last thing to note though, judging from the way the promo image looks, we could end up seeing a less cartoon-style of game coming from Spacetime Studios, graphically speaking.
