Yesterday we wrote about Capcom announcing Ace Attorney 5 which is pretty awesome itself. We also mentioned, which is actually the better news, that Capcom would be bringing Ace Attorney 1, 2 and 3 to Android and iOS soon to in a nice HD upgrade.
However, there may be a bit of an issue with this. Upon further reading it seems as though there is no talk about it coming to the West. In fact it may only be released to Android and iOS users in Japan. Over at RobotGeek, they point out that, aside from no mention of a Western release for the trilogy, Capcom is notoriously known for not localizing a lot of their games for the Western audience. The fact that nothing is mentioned about a Western release does not mean it isn't coming though.
A prime example of Capcom doing this would be Ace Attorney 4, which was available for a brief time in Europe, but not Ace Attorney 3. This does happen to other game series as well like the older Final Fantasy games. However, like we mentioned, just because it isn't specifically stated that the trilogy will be released outside of Asia doesn't mean that it won't be. If it does end up like that though, you may have to break out the Market Enabler to nab it, if it is in English.
Currently there are a lot of major titles from big developers available for Android but location specific to Asian countries because they are not localized. Hopefully this doesn't go that way.
