Spicy Horse Games, the developers behind games such as Alice: Madness Returns, are now working on an action-RPG title that will be hitting the web, PC and tablets called Akaneiro: Demon Hunters. This game take inspiration for Little Red Riding Hood but with a more mature take on the story, plus it has demons.
In Akaneiro: Demon Hunters, you will be playing as a member of an elite society of demon hunters called The Order of Akane. You mission will be to set out to cleanse a village of Yoki in a world set in the Edo period of Japan, inspired by ancient demons, with hand-painted visuals.

As you go about killing the Yoki, you can take the blood and transform it into crystal shards called Karma Shards. As you collect these shards, you will be able to use them to upgrade your weapons. There will be plenty of weapons and upgrade possibilities as well to help you in your quest to rid a village of Yoki.

The beta begins later this year for Akaneiro: Demon Hunters and it will be a free-to-play titles, however, Spice Horse Games have said that it won't be 'spamming' or 'nagging' when it comes to in-game purchases. We will keep an eye on this game and watch for further details to be released.
