Advance to Go - Playing Monopoly on Android Review
One of my favorite board games as a kids was Monopoly. I never seemed to win a lot but I liked playing. I still have it at the house, which my kids now play. When Monopoly came out for Android, I was a bit skeptical. Could

Defensoid by Darren White

Defensiod is a new tower defense game just released onto the Android market and was developed by Darren White. Just like any other tower defense game you have your map and a selection of upgradeable towers to use in your attempts to defend yourself against your enemies. However this tower defense game has a couple of unique features that set it apart from the rest.

The graphics are done in a neat retro neon look and the entire board is full of hexagon spots for you to put your towers in and for the enemies to flood in their attempts to defeat you. There are currently 4 types of towers which all can be upgraded as you earn money. All the controls are done by the touch screen, just press and hold a tower you want to build then drag your finger to the spot you want it. Enemies come out of the green hexagon and try to get to the red one.

Features:

  • 30 levels
  • 3 Difficulties
  • The ability to make an level a survival mode level (infinity enemies)
  • 4 Tower types with upgrades

The slightly shaded in hexagons are actually the wall (nothing can be built on them). The rest of the board is free game for building so you'll need to make a maze for the enemies to follow using your towers. Also one unique feature is that you can turn every level into a survival mode level with infinite enemies to deal with.

As tower defense games go, this is one of the better ones out there right now and would highly suggest giving this game a shot. You can try it out for free with the Lite version or grab the full version off the Android market for $1.99USD.
