Being based out of Las Vegas, I see gambling all the time, daily. You can't even walk into a 7-11 here without tripping over a slot machine with video poker and other games on it. Full Tilt Poker has been a major player in the poker game for awhile now both with their online poker site and their continuous strong showings in various poker tournaments like the WSOP.
Unfortunately not everyone one come here to Las Vegas to play a little poker when they feel like it but thanks to Full Tilt Poker that is about to change. Unlike iOS where playing for real money isn't allowed, Android has no real issues with online gambling through your phone. I'm assuming this is as long as you follow the proper laws regarding it of course so if you suddenly are thinking about making an app for online gambling with real money, I'd suggest doing research first.

Later this year Full Tilt Poker will be releasing their new app onto the Android Market for Android devices 2.2+. You'll be able to play the new 'Rush Format' poker which allows you to fold right away, move to another table and be dealt right in without waiting. Currently the beta going on right now is for "Black Card Members" of their site, basically the pros.
This isn't the first game for Android that deals with real money gameplay but it is more then likely going to be one of the best, just like their players. We will see if we can get into the beta but until we do, if we do, we can only speculate on how everything will work and look. Should be interesting though.
