SouthPeak Interactive announces Tegra 2 exclusive games

Posted by AndrewH in Game News on November 02, 2010

With NVIDIA's newest mobile platform, launching later in the year for phones and tablet devices developer support continues to appear strong for the promising new, graphics heavy platform. Developer SouthPeak Interactive has announced multiple games to take full advantage of the newer, more powerful mobile chipset.

SouthPeak said promotions for their yet to be detailed games interestingly start "during the Holiday period of 2010" so it looks like we can expect these games and devices very soon. Currently only supported by the cheap Augen tablets sold at Kmart (which have notoriously poor build quality) we can only hope to soon see a legitimate company launch a Tegra 2 product for compelling games based on Tegra 2 such as Dungeon Defenders.

Games using NVIDIA's Tegra 2 processor run at higher frame rates than competing AMD chips like the Adreno 205, push more polygons per second and promise new concepts in mobile gaming by giving it the power it so desperately needs. It also adds support for industry-leading game development platform Unreal Engine 3.

When more news about their games is revealed we'll be the first to let you know.
