Qualcomm is setting out to break a Guinness World Record at this year's E3 conference by holding what they hope will be the longest video games marathon. At E3 2012 Qualcomm, along with qualifying participants, will be sitting down for at least 26 hours playing Android games on a Samsung Galaxy 8.9 tablet. Taking a break from all the E3 news we still have to finish getting to all of our readers, we wanted to share with you what we were hoping to see at E3 this year. Unfortunately, some items we were eager to view were not there. There were also some things this year at E3 which could have been improved. We mentioned before we would be covering other non-Android gaming related stuff from E3 and this would be one of those things. Nexon came out strong this year with two solid titles that are coming our way to PC soon. Dragon Nest especially caught our attention with it's great blending of gaming genres. One things we really wanted to do was get some hands-on loving of OnLive's service with the universal remote running on Android. While they had an HTC Flyer on display where you could look at it and get a preview, the great folks over at OnLive brought us in for a great hands-on with OnLive on the Motorola XOOM. While we will be at E3 covering all the Android stuff that will be there, we also know that most of our readers are also gamers when it comes to PC and console. That is why we will be covering all that tasty stuff as well while we are there. Today we got the Blacklight Retribution game announcement in our inbox. Gameloft have apparently been busy the last few months as word on the internet is that they plan to unveil more games at E3 2011 which will, yet again, be temporarily exclusive to the Xperia Play. This means that these games for one month will only be available to that device. After that it will be made available to others. Since Minecraft is being debuted on Android next week at E3, we figured today's WTF segment is a nice way to get you a little more revved up for it. Granted it will be exclusively for the Xperia Play at first but will land on other Android devices soon after. Today, we have a custom map that is just insane. Got skillz? If you are not sure if you have got the skills to be a DJ and don't feel like investing in all the gear just to find out you're tone deaf, there is good news on the horizon for you. Soon you will be able to live out your DJing fantasies thanks to a new game coming soon from Playpen Studios. |
