There are two major Pinball platforms on Android, Zen Pinball and Pinball Arcade. While Zen Pinball and their developers, Zen Studios, create tables from scratch and are themed in various manners like with all the Marvel based tables they have, Pinball Arcade is the faithful digital recreations of actual physical Pinball tables you used to play on in the arcade back in the day. There's a huge advantage in the mobile gaming market nowadays, that has become crucial for a big amount of developers: you don't need to make an eye-popping games full of superb graphics to be successful. As a consequence of this, games are now rated for their content, theme, ability to hook people, and creativity. This is the case of Kairosoft: a company that has really hit the spot with their Time-Resource management games. And one of their latest releases just confirms this. Let's take a look at "Cafeteria Nipponica". Recently acquired by GREE for $210 million dollars, game developers Funzio have brought their hit free-to-play crime game called Crime City over to the Amazon App Store. Crime City is basically why Funzio got acquired by GREE in the first place. Pocket Gems are a game development team that originally started making iOS games and since their beginning have acquired quite the following. Recently they also started releasing their games onto Android as well. Today marks their first Android exclusive game release, according to VentureBeat, with a title called Tap Dragon Park. May and June look to be a busy time for Gameloft in regards to game releases and announcements. Already we have the official Men in Black 3 game coming on May 17th, N.O.V.A. 3 on the way, Asphalt 7: Heat teased and heading our way, and now we have their new free-to-play Gangstar spin-off called Gang Domination (Codename). Yes, we know. I've read all your messages and we do apologize for missing out on our weekly feature. However, we've more than made up by upping the normally two a week games to six. So if you've been dying to know what's been getting some face time on our mobile phone, look no further than Droidgamers: Game's We're Playing The Last Two Weeks A few weeks back, a new game came out called Parallel Mafia. It was a new game from the same company, PerBlue, which produced Parallel Kingdom. Both of the parallel games are location-based RPG games. I have heard a lot of good things about Parallel Kingdom but had not played it so I decided to give the new game a try. It has taken me a while to write this review, because I have been busy playing both games! Occasionally it is nice to check out random genres of games such as music-based titles. When doing so, you end up finding some great games sometimes and Cytus by Rayark Inc is definitely one of those. If you have played Dance Dance Revolution or even Flash Flash Revolution, then you already know what you're getting yourself into. Today is a busy day for game releases and another addictive title from Kairosoft has landed on the Google Play store which we reported on yesterday that it was coming today. Well if you don't have a Tegra 3 Android device to sink your time into Dark Meadow: The Pact THD, you can sink your teeth into Pocket Academy instead. Dubbed a 'Survival Comedy' game, Zynga's newest title ZombieSmash has just landed on the Google Play store where you will be flicking and tapping your way through hordes of zombies. On top of that, it is in a castle defense style of gameplay with a little physics-based gaming mixed into it all for good measure. Welcome to another edition of our weekly series where we highlight some of the current crowdfunding projects for Android games currently running on a few of the major crowdfunding sites like Kickstarter, Appbackr and IndieGoGo. If you enjoy crowdfunding then lets just jump right into this weeks selection shall we? Yesterday we mentioned that the iOS version of Minecraft: Pocket Edition had received the crafting update along with a few other new features such as chickens and cows. Since Mojang said they would try to keep the updates released as close as possible for both Android and iOS, we predicted that it would arrive for us very soon. |
