Fans of TCGs (Trading Card Games) has a new title to dig their teeth into. For those of you not familiar with what TCGs are, if you have ever heard of games like Magic the Gathering or some Android games like Rage of Bahamut, then you will already have an idea as to what Hothead Games' newest release called Big Win Hockey is all about. One of the bigger complains recently has been that Gameloft has not brought support to their games for the Asus Transformer Prime. Well it seems as though this could be changing as the recent content patch for Order & Chaos that happened today also seems to have brought compatibility to the quad-core tablet. Gameloft's MMORPG for Android called Order & Chaos hasn't seen an update in quite some time. In fact up until today there was still Christmas music playing in the game. Well all of you Order & Chaos players out there can breathe a sign of relief now that there is actually a new update with new content and no Christmas music. Another day, another Kickstarter project that needs your help to get off the ground. This time a company named Moveable Code is asking for $100,000 to fund the first release of its mobile game called Incantor: Magic Made Real. Incantor is unique because it uses a physical Bluetooth wand to connect to smartphones. The game was also made to behave like a real world MMO. We have covered the 3D MMORPG being developed by Veraxon called World of Midgard fairly extensively since the first closed beta even started. Now that the public beta has been out for a few days, it seems as though things are picking up a little for Veraxon as they have just signed a publishing deal with Aeria Games to publish World of Midgard. Recently acquired by GREE for $210 million dollars, game developers Funzio have brought their hit free-to-play crime game called Crime City over to the Amazon App Store. Crime City is basically why Funzio got acquired by GREE in the first place. While we all wait for Sega's upcoming cross-platform MMORPG called Phantasy Star Online 2 to be released, we can at least see some closed beta footage of the game. Currently Phantasy Star Online 2 is slated for release on the PC, Android and iOS sometime this Summer with the PS Vita getting the game at a later date. Back near the end of April 2012 we posted an exclusive hands-on of The Binary Mill's upcoming racing game called Mini Motor Racing. This game features a top-down perspective similar to other mini-car racing games like Reckless Racing and some very slick visuals and customization. When I was little boy, my mom and dad would always take me into Radio Shack because I liked to look at the toy robots and other gizmos the store had for sale. I also remember being completely fascinated by a computer game that featured chess pieces actively killing each other with every move. I can only assume with my limited memory that this game was some version of Battle Chess. Recently, a Kickstarter campaign got underway to bring a Battle Chess sequel to multiple platforms including Android. We're right there with you, patiently waiting (and praying for compatibility) for Gameloft's latest romp in their space themed FPS, N.O.V.A. 3. Over the weekend the French company has teased its fans with new footage along side a visual walkthrough with executive producer Arnaud Bonnard. He details the graphical changes in this sequel. If you're still unconvinced how awesome this game will look, watch the trailer after the break. Yes, we know. I've read all your messages and we do apologize for missing out on our weekly feature. However, we've more than made up by upping the normally two a week games to six. So if you've been dying to know what's been getting some face time on our mobile phone, look no further than Droidgamers: Game's We're Playing The Last Two Weeks A few weeks back, a new game came out called Parallel Mafia. It was a new game from the same company, PerBlue, which produced Parallel Kingdom. Both of the parallel games are location-based RPG games. I have heard a lot of good things about Parallel Kingdom but had not played it so I decided to give the new game a try. It has taken me a while to write this review, because I have been busy playing both games! For those of you unfamiliar with what e-sports happens to be, it is essentially professional gaming. These are tournaments played on both console and PC for cash prizes, usually rather large ones. Games such as Call of Duty, StarCraft and so on are played regularly in the e-sport circuit through many of the different tournament companies like MLG (Major League Gaming) and WCG (World Cyber Games). Tribal Wars from InnoGames has been around for awhile now and during GDC 2012 we reported that a mobile version was heading its way over to Android soon and that eventually all their in-house developed games would be coming as well.. Well now InnoGames has released a public beta version of their popular MMORTS game onto the Google Play store. Back in the beginning of March 2012 Sega announced that their upcoming Phantasy Star Online 2 RPG would be smartphone and tablet compatible for both the iOS and Android platforms. Along with that news came word that it would be a free-to-play game supported through in-app purchases but as the game's series producer explains, it will be done the right way. While we wait for the release of the actual game you can be sure that Gameloft will be feeding us a healthy dose of preview videos. This is something they like to do with their bigger releases which N.O.V.A 3 will definitely be. In this new trailer though we get to see how multiplayer gameplay unfolds. |
