For those that currently own the Transformer Prime may want to brace your selves: ASUS may soon release a device to replace Prime. While this might sound like the updated Prime Asus announced back at CES that apparently isn’t the case. There are gamers, hardcore gamers, and then there are the exclusive Ultra Gamers. If you constantly game everywhere and at anytime (wash your hands) then consider yourself the latter. As an Ultra Gamer your title isn't complete without plastic peripherals. Unfortunately, game peripherals for mobile devices can be a bit lacking (with the exception of Nokia's upcoming 9mm pocket friendly, n9xxx). Imagine this: Gameloft releases a brand new trailer for Modern Combat, Modern Combat 6: World War Space, and suddenly you find yourself brimming with sweat and your mouth strangely dry.The graphics induce uncontrollable eye twitching and that new gameplay mode renders your jaws grounded and mopping the floor (while knowing touchscreen control is terrible, but you’ll play it anyway). The question of the day is what do you get when you connect a Galaxy Nexus to a projector and integrate Kinect into the mix? Awesomeness of a massive geek level, that's what. One innovative fellow going by the name of DDRBoxman has done exactly that to make a wall-size Android touchscreen running Ice Cream Sandwich. Another quad-core Android device has decided to show up today, this time coming from LG. Currently we know of two quad-core devices in the works, one of which is from Fujitsu which we played with at CES 2012, and the second rumored to be from HTC. Now we have a third which is coming from LG called the X3. Wish you can play the latest and greatest games without the expense of overpriced hardware? You’re in luck as Google recently announced a partnership with video game streaming company, OnLive. Steve Perlman, founder and CEO of OnLive, revealed on the official Google blog, plans to bring their program to Google TV enabled devices and television. SteelSeries is a company that, if you haven't heard of them before, makes a lot of gaming peripherals, a lot of which are for competitive gaming whether for professionals or just the hardcore gamer. Apparently, through licensing the technology used in the Zeemote, they have developed a wireless controller that you can use on your Android device called the Ion. We headed over to the LG Booth for our appointment and what we were really interested in was the new LG Spectrum HD LTE Android phone which is also coming with Super Street Fighter IV. That particular game also came with the LG Nitro and can only be played on an phone that has a true HD resolution display. One of the most in-depth action/adventure games for Tegra 2 Android devices as well as the Xperia Play is Galaxy on Fire 2 from Fishlabs. Unfortunately for anyone who doesn't own a Tegra 2 device or an Xperia Play, you haven't been able to play this game (unless Chainfired of course). That, however, is about to change. What could very well be a rather large screw up by someone over at Sprint, it appears that they will be getting a Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4G LTE version which will sport a rather beefy 1.5GHz chip stuffed inside of it. This bit of news is courtesy of an ad that is (still) appearing on CNet's website regarding a Nikon camera. |
