It's been awhile since we dropped a Hidden Gem article in your laps. It isn't that there hasn't been any games suitable for a Hidden Gem article, it is just that there are so many great games to play we get all caught up in playing them. We were told to check out iDaTank by Ubinuri and so far it is a great game.

While there are ports of some of the old school FPS games that have graced our PC or consoles in the past available on Android, these are at their core, just ports. There is nothing wrong with a port of one of these old games but if you are looking for something a little more original, there isn't a whole lot to choose from.

We got a nice email telling us about a game called Dangerous from Binary Helix that happens to be on the Android Market. This is an open world space sandbox combat RPG title which, from the moment you download and start the game, will actually impress you quite a bit.

It has been a couple of weeks since we posted our last hidden gem and today we have a great little asteroid shooter called Alpha Wave by Hardline Studios. This game is a solid, fun shooter where you are in control of a little defense ship/turret with the job of protecting your planet.

Time for another Hidden Gem and this time it comes courtesy of Local Space and their Pyra Tower Defense game for Android. While this game features a lot of what you would find in tower defense games, it also brings some new features as well, plus it gets incredibly challenging.

There is a great retro-style game on the Android Market that seems, as with all Hidden Gems we write about, to have gone with not a whole lot of notice. The game itself is quite fun and is sort of in the style of a Geometry Wars type of game.

It has been a little bit since we have done a Hidden Gem article and even though some of these indie games we talk about could fit into that category, there is one new title this month that warrants it right now and it is called Arenas Trail of Valor by EmeryOnGames.

In concept Wavecrest Entertainment's new game, Tree Jumper, isn't really new as it is similar to games like Mega Jump, however, it does feature some new mechanics that are not really found in similar titles plus the graphics are pretty polished as well.

About a week ago we were told about a new physics-based puzzle game with some similar mechanics to Angry Birds that had landed on the Android Market. Developed by Primadawn, Lazy Snakes does indeed take a couple of the gameplay mechanics from Angry Birds but widely expands on how you solve each stage.

There is a neat little casual maze/puzzle game that landed on the Android Market a few days ago called Marball Odyssey by LABBE Sylvain a.k.a Sunday Coderz. The premise of the game is simple. just roll your ball through the maze on each stage, collecting items as you go until you reach the exit.

In this edition of our Hidden Gem series, we have an interesting puzzle game going by the name of EDGE from 365 Games. In EDGE you move around a block with the intent of collecting the smaller multicolored cubes while on your way to the end of each stage.

Today, considering it being Cyber Monday and we as society have been dealing with craziness since Thanksgiving with family, Black Friday sales, weekend sports (and recovery) and Cyber Monday deals now, it's only fitting we bring a Hidden Gem of a game to the table that is down right insane. Coming from Xbox Live is Techno Kitten Adventure.

Proving that sometimes even the best sites sometimes miss under the radar games, Xenowar was recently released to the masses in the Android Market.  For those of you who remember the true X-Com (and not that FPS title currently in development) you are in for a real treat.

At some point in your life you have probably played Asteroids or a game that is based off of the arcade classic. People have been asking us to check a game called Asteroid 2012 3D and so we finally have. What can we say? It's a well done remake of the classic wrapped in some pretty nice 3D visuals.

It is interesting how things work out sometimes. While sifting through the Android Market looking for our next Hidden Gem, I stumbled across two games that fit the bill. One is a physics-based game called Raze while the other is a side-scrolling action RPG called Devil's Creed.

A little bit of chatter has been going on about a game called Wind-Up Knight which came out on Oct. 18, 2011. Developed by Robot Invader, Wind-Up Knight is a fast-paced side-scrolling action game wrapped in 3D graphics for high-end Android devices and it is definitely both fun and challenging.

We have got a new member of the Hidden Gem family going by the name of Block Rogue which was developed by Buzz Monkey Software. Block Rogue is a Sokoban style game where you'll be solving the puzzles in each stage in order to get to the exit and progress onto the next one.

YoYo Games has had quite a bit of success on the Android Market with publishing games such as They Need To Be Fed and Karoshi so one would think that when they release a new game, people would be all over it. Unfortunately, that is not the case and Reflexions is an example of that.

A recent puzzle-platformer that landed on the Android Market from indie developers going by the name of Brain Damage called Constant C  will really have you wrapping your brain around not only the puzzles in the game but the added challenge of switching the gravity during gameplay.

Welcome to another addition of our Hidden Gem series of articles. In this particular article we are going to talk about an interesting indie game called Hamsteria by a developed named Sean McCracken. Aside from having an awesome last name, Sean has developed a great little game called Hamsteria which is all about destruction.
