One of the bigger complains recently has been that Gameloft has not brought support to their games for the Asus Transformer Prime. Well it seems as though this could be changing as the recent content patch for Order & Chaos that happened today also seems to have brought compatibility to the quad-core tablet. The Wall Street Journal (via Engadget) is reporting on something that is good news for customers and not so good for mobile carriers. Apparently Google is partnering with five different device makers to create new Nexus devices for the 2012 holiday season. These devices will allegedly run Android 5.0 (rumored to be called Jelly Bean), and will be sold in unlocked form straight from Google. Following in the footsteps of the nVisions digital magazine, Gamefly have released their own interactive digital publication as well called GameQ. As you might expect from gaming industry themed publication, GameQ will contain in-depth stories, interviews and more. Just like the nVision's magazine as well, the GameQ magazine is available only for tablets. Two weeks ago Rockstar Games announced that there was a slight delay with the release of their upcoming Max Payne game for Android. Through an update on their Twitter account, Rockstar Games stated that the reason for the delay back then was do to last minute testing that needed to be done, mostly revolving around device compatibility. nVidia's Tegra Zone is having its first birthday and to celebrate nVidia is giving away seven Asus Transformer Pad packages over the next few weeks (starting this week). Let me start by saying that these Asus Transformer Pad packages are pretty bad-ass but, of course, you want to know how to enter to win right? This game features a top-down perspective similar to other mini-car racing games like Reckless Racing and some very slick visuals and customization. Stereoscopic 3D is something you either love or hate. There really is no in-between with it. Most people find it pointless while others do enjoy it and occassionally a company will still produce and Android device with it such as the WikiPad. We have seen some good examples of stereoscopic 3D as well as horrible ones. Qualcomm is setting out to break a Guinness World Record at this year's E3 conference by holding what they hope will be the longest video games marathon. Developed by I-Free Innovations, Zombie Granny is not your typical zombie game as it is filled with lots of mechanical puzzles and humorous characters as opposed to zombies just relentlessly trying to eat your soft and delicious brains. A few weeks back, a new game came out called Parallel Mafia. It was a new game from the same company, PerBlue, which produced Parallel Kingdom. Both of the parallel games are location-based RPG games. I have heard a lot of good things about Parallel Kingdom but had not played it so I decided to give the new game a try. It has taken me a while to write this review, because I have been busy playing both games! For those of you unfamiliar with what e-sports happens to be, it is essentially professional gaming. These are tournaments played on both console and PC for cash prizes, usually rather large ones. Games such as Call of Duty, StarCraft and so on are played regularly in the e-sport circuit through many of the different tournament companies like MLG (Major League Gaming) and WCG (World Cyber Games). Tribal Wars from InnoGames has been around for awhile now and during GDC 2012 we reported that a mobile version was heading its way over to Android soon and that eventually all their in-house developed games would be coming as well.. Well now InnoGames has released a public beta version of their popular MMORTS game onto the Google Play store. |
