Well the rumors are starting to fly which can only mean one thing, there has to be some truth to this on some level. Not to mention that Amazon did state awhile ago that they would expand into other regions but didn’t have any timeline as to when that would be. Apparently, in regards to a European expansion, that could be later this Summer.
According to AllThingsD, who are generally right about this sort of thing, Amazon is planning to expand their AppStore into Europe sometime later this Summer. This means European Android users would be able to take full advantage of everything the Amazon AppStore has to offer from the free game/app of the day to their Test Drive service.
Apparently Amazon will start asking for submissions from developers (who already do not have apps on their AppStore) to submit games and applications for this expansion as early as next week. Of course, as with all rumors, take it with a grain of salt. If true though, a lot of people in Europe will be happy, especially with now being able to take advantage of the free game/app a day or those exclusive Amazon launches.
