Well it seems even with the new user interface and options for developers in the back end that the Android Market team isn't done yet which is good! Today more categories have been added to the market to help with organization and also announced just a moment ago is the ability for AT&T customers to charge purchases to their bill.

The new categories include:

  • Books & Reference
  • Business
  • Education
  • Health & Fitness (changed from just Health)
  • Media & Video (changed from Multimedia)
  • Medical
  • Music & Audio
  • News & Magazines (changed from News & Weather)
  • Personalization
  • Photography
  • Reference
  • Transportation
  • Travel & Local (changed from Travel)
  • Libraries & Demos (changed from Software Libraries)
  • Weather
  • Sports Games

So quite the list of changes category-wise which will be good not only to keep the market a bit more organized but also to help developers have their applications and games discovered a bit easier. While on the subject of convenience, AT&T customers got a little boost thanks to AT&T carrier billing now available for them. Now you'll be able to buy all those games you've wanted and charge it to your phone bill instead of your credit card.
