Angry Viking coming to Android - How to stuff as much blood as you can into a game

Zaxis games have been developing titles for iOS for awhile and it appears they are getting ready to make the jump to Android as well starting with their game called Angry Viking as their first release. This is a 3D top-down hack-n-slash type of game where your goal is to kill villagers as they try to stop you.

Controls for this game are about as easy as it gets, virtual joystick on the left and two buttons on the right, one for normal attack and one for special attack which is your little viking guy spinning around in a whirlwind attack. As you mow down villagers they basically 'pop' spraying blood all over the area they died. The entire point of the game is to last as long as you can while killing everyone and the cows in the village will help keep you alive to achieve this goal by restoring one HP dot per cow.

Graphically, the entire game is top-down perspective and is done in a cartoon like 3D nature, similar to that of Samurai II: Vengeance which is also set to be released early this year. There is also a lot of blood.

If you like the mindless hack-n-slash survival type of games with some killer visuals then you'll want to keep your eyes on the Android Market in the near future for when it is released. We will also mention it here too of course when it's available! No real word on when we can expect Angry Vikings to land on the Android Market or for how much just yet.

Check out the iOS gameplay video below for an idea of how the game will look and play. Hopefully we will see their equally violent and bloody game, Whack A Seal, come to Android as well.
